The built environment continues to evolve as a result of technological advances and better understanding of its impact. Thus, transitioning from smart buildings to green buildings and from green buildings to healthy buildings is a natural evolution of the industry.

“The healthy buildings concept has garnered much attention over the past few years across numerous sectors, such as government agencies, academic institutions, public health organizations, professional associations, and commercial entities. Each sector that presents healthy buildings has created awareness on this topic, while focusing on its specific field for its target audience. Based on our search in April 2023, examples of organizations that have discussed healthy buildings are listed below. Interestingly, clinical and healthcare sectors are not represented in this list. Moreover, MSDs, such as back pain and neck pain, are not discussed in any meaningful level or at all.” (Ref: Healthy Buildings LLC Recognition Plaque). Therefore, we felt the need to develop this unique and precise specialty training.
